Congratulations to Cammy Garabian, who took third place in both the shot put and the discus, to Ashleigh Wyrostek who took ninth in the javelin and to Abigail Tenreiro who finished 21st in the two-mile at the New England Regional Track and Field Meet at the University of New Hampshire. At the Massachusetts State Meet, Cammy won the shot put and took third place in the discus. Ashleigh took third place in the javelin and Abigail took sixth in the two-mile.

Coach Kristin Nelson and her Unified Track and Field team successfully defended their Division One MIAA State Championship winning the title for the second year in a row. One week earlier the Unified Warriors won their second consecutive MIAA South Sectional Championship. 


Congratulations to the Seekonk Boys and Girls Outdoor Track teams who both have won the 2018 South Coast Conference Gold Division Championship.

Congratulations to the Seekonk Baseball team who have won the 2018 South Coast Conference Gold Division Championship. 

Congratulations to the 2018 Seekonk Girls Tennis team who have qualified for the MIAA State Tournament for the second straight year. 

Congratulations to the 2017-2018 Seekonk High School Girls Swim team who have won the South Coast Conference Championship for the second straight year!

Congratulations to the 2017 undefeated South Coast Conference Champion Seekonk Boys Soccer team.

Congratulations to the 2017 undefeated South Coast Conference Champion Seekonk Boys Cross Country team. Both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams won the SCC Championship Meet.

Congratulations to the 2017 Seekonk Field Hockey team,  the SCC Gold Division Champions.

Congratulations to the 2017 Seekonk Girls Soccer Team, the SCC Gold Division Champions.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE BOARD

RECORD BREAKING NEWS:

Congratulations to Junior Cammy Garabian who set a new meet and school record in the discus with a throw of 130 feet and 4 inches and also won the shot put at the MIAA Division 4 Meet.

Congratulations to Seekonk Junior Cammy Garabian who broke the school record, the South Coast Conference record, and the New Bedford Voke Field House record in shotput with a throw of 42 feet 8 inches at the 2018 South Coast Conference Championship Meet.

Cammie Garabian then turned around and broke her own record as well as the Division 5 meet record with a throw of 44 feet one inch at the MIAA Division 5 Meet. This throw is the fourth best throw ever recorded in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

AWARD WINNERS:

 The Seekonk Athletic Department and Seekonk Boosters Club hosted its 2018 Senior Athletic Banquet. Senior Rony Morales won the Principal’s Athletic Award while Kathleen Santos, Ashley Morgado, Alyssa Poland and Ryan Fecteau received Athletic Director’s Awards. Connor Pozzi and Chloe Lunnie received the Student Athlete Awards, Sara Mallon and Terry Smith won the Athletic Warrior Awards, Roth Santos won the Richard Dias Award and Rachel Pion won the Karen Stone Award. Zoe Jennings and Andrew Lancellotti were the recipients of the United States Marines Distinguished Athlete Awards while Claudette Elkhoury and Jason Ho received the United States Army Reserve Scholar Athlete Awards.

 Massachusetts State Champion Cammie Garabian has won the New England Regional Championship with a throw of 43 feet 8 and a quarter-inch throw in the shot put. Cammie finished eighth in the USA at the New Balance National Championships in New York City.

This season Cammie Garabian received a spot on the Attleboro Sun Chronicle All Area Indoor Track team for the third time in her career and has also been named to the Boston Globe All Scholastic Indoor Track Team.  Cammie was also named to the Globe’s All Scholastic Outdoor Track Team last year. Way to go Cammie!

For the second year in a row, Sophomore Mia DiBiase, a SCC All Conference player, has been selected to the All Area Attleboro Sun Chronicle Girls Basketball All Star Team.

SCC All Conference Seekonk High swimmer Robert Strycharz was also named to the Attleboro Sun Chronicle All Area Boys Swim Team. 

Congratulations to Coach Earl Berwick and all the members of the 2017-2018 Girls Indoor Track Team who received the MIAA Division 5 Sportsmanship Award.

Athletes wanting to participate on the FIRST OFFICIAL DAY of PRACTICE, 
for the 2018 Fall Sports Season, 
must have their Registration Form completed, submitted and reviewed, before July 1, 2018,
to be able to participate on that first day of practice.
