Memorandum of Understanding

A.   The parent(s) shall submit reports, consistent with the Seekonk Public Schools’ marking periods, to the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, indicating general areas of student study, the progress of the student in each of those areas and the amount of time spent on each subject on a weekly basis during the quarter.  Should the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning determine the reports to show insufficient progress, the parent shall be so notified and a meeting shall be convened to determine whether the approval shall be revoked.

C.    If requested, the parent(s) shall meet with the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning at the end of each year to review the student’s progress.

D. The parent(s) shall comply with such reasonable special conditions which the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning shall require.

E.  Any home instruction plan must be approved annually if the student is to continue in a home study program for more than one school year.
